KUIKEN, Debbie After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Deborah Marilyn Kuiken went to be with her precious Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018 at VON Sakura House at the age of 54. Dear sister of Charlie and Trish Kuiken of Whitby, Bart and Deb Kuiken of Oakwood and Pam and Andy Gray of Innerkip. Loving aunt of Amanda (Rueben), Kristy (Dylan), Kayla (Kyle), Mark (Julie), Matt (Cory), Blair (Melissa), Evan (Rebecca), Bart, and Mitchell. Sadly missed by her many great nieces and great nephews. Her Tante Sjoeke and Tante Marta in Holland will fondly remember her. Debbie is also survived by cousins and extended family here and in Holland. She will also be sadly missed by her many dear friends. Predeceased by her parents Ate Kuiken (2008) and Anna (nee Oostinga) Kuiken (2017). Debbie was firstly a strong faithful and caring servant for her Lord. She took her belief very seriously serving him in many ways including her devotion to Sunday School. She spoke of God without hesitation to everyone in her life. Debbie loved her family with a passion, as well as her dear friends. Her battle with cancer was a lengthy one, but she did it with grace, dignity, and trust; never asking why, but looking at each day with determination and a smile. She was a devoted manager of Fabricland for many years. Knitting, sewing, and hooking were her loved hobbies leaving behind many projects that will be treasured. Debbie will be sorely missed by many, but our memories will keep her alive in our hearts. The family will receive friends at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 735 Frontenac Cres, Woodstock on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10 am 12 pm, and again from 1 1:45 pm. A complete funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Daryl Meijer. A spring interment will take place at Hillview Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mission to Haiti or VON Sakura House. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock, ON (519-537-3611). Personal condolences may be sent at www.smithleroy.com
